Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing WesternU Mobile on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

EDIT: As of the latest update from the time of this update, the app seems to work fine on Android now! Wish the app let you open resource Links (ie. PDF) in some way without having to use a browser.

This app is absolutely garbage. It constantly crashes and when youre logged out it is almost impossible to get back in. Please download it know that you may want to throw your phone.

Did you just bike to campus and find yourself in desperate need of a shower? Maybe you’re planning to attend the upcoming Mustangs game, opera, or want to catch up on a bit of campus news between classes? For this and more, WesternU Mobile has you covered.

MAPS
We’re excited to announce that we have improved the map experience - and we’ve included new maps! New maps include:
Athletics and varsity venues
Performing arts venues and galleries
Faculty main office locations
Public showers
Bike racks
Additionally, we’ve improved access to the new maps by creating an easy-to-use selector tool.

BUG FIXES
We are working to improve the WesternU Mobile experience. If you encounter any bugs or issues, please send them to mobile-apps@uwo.ca.

Please note that one thing we’re looking into currently is improving how the Exam Schedule and Course Schedule modules work. Both modules only pull information for Undergraduate students. For exams, know that only those undergraduate exams entered into the central calendar will appear. If you have an exam that isn’t showing up, you should talk to your academic advisor for more info. To help those who miss this message, when you try to log in, you’ll now see a message similar to this that describes some issues you may face and how to overcome them.
