I'm a professional violinist, and IMO this app is the BEST. It's easy to use and it prevents me from obsessing over every note as I play. I can just play while it records, and the app captures my "tendencies" on a graph. It presents the information either in the order you played the notes (as in a song), or in a list from lowest to highest pitch, and shows my average. It's CRAZY how accurate it is. I learned that I tend to play C#4 too high.....I NEVER realized that, but now I can hear it. On other apps, it's easy to get overwhelmed by all the little imperfections....we all have them. I would have never realized that C# was my top priority that needs to be fixed without THIS app. Why on Earth is it free?!

About this app

Record your intonation while playing or practising scales. Then after you have finished look at the results on the screen.

A series of graphs will be presented showing each pitch detected by the app and how far off perfect intonation it was played. The graph shows the proportion of time each intonation was played. Sharp notes are coloured red, and flat notes blue. Ideally each graph should show a green spike exactly in the centre.

A second tab shows the raw data readings displayed on a musical staff so you can see which notes in the melody were played with poor intonation by the colour displayed.

This app does of course tell you nothing that your ears shouldn't have heard while playing, but gives visual feedback to help narrow down why your intonation wasn't sounding as perfect as it should.

Tuning is equal-tempered,with an adjustable (A=440HZ) reference frequency.
