CBC News on a browser hounds you to download the app (not cool), but once you do, the webpage/services otherwise available using a browser either disappear or are broken. For ex., the share article option - it brings up apps to do that, but the list doesnt scroll up, just down (?); also, the comments section is completely removed; &, GPS location for local news - it won't load GPS location w phone GPS & location turned on. These are just way too many stupid annoyances, esp w the download nagging

This CBC app operates smoothly and the option for black background and white text is a nice feature which I'll use. Being able to save stories is a nice option, an improvement over the Apple version of the app I also have. However, just saving all the current stories, at least in text only, like my BBC app does automatically, would be even better.

I love the way CBC joins Canadians through its shared coast to coast national and local programming; it's my first choice in radio and television programmes. As a result, the apps are very important to me because I use my tablets and smartphone exclusively now, instead of radio or television. I have the apps on iOS and android systems; they work beautifully on both. I have not had any problems of any kind and the apps respond quickly and accurately and the layout is excellent.

Satisfied with experience, so far. It has worked smoothly for the past several months. Quality of videos is good and news articles display with no problems. I suggest showing shorter 7-15 second ads at the beginning of your shorter videos. Save the 30 seconds ads for longer (5min+) videos. Also, three 30s ads at the beginning of a video makes me want to close the video and not watch it.

Plus: Beats hell out of the half-truths of Twitter, TicToc and Utube! Con: wading through several minutes of advertsing everytime one opens a new video or moves elsewhere and returns. Unlike many news providers, one cannot shut off these multiple adverts. I like the app but I often skip or ignore articles because of the advertising. The fact I already pay a subscription fee every month to the CBC doesn't matter.

The App works well enough, however it lacks actual news. In the local sections the same articles stay for days. Also there are too many video only stories that require viewing ads first.
