It used to update sports stories and news stories that you could click on and follow the story. It no longer does that and has actually been stuck on the same stories for over a month

how do i get annoying app off my phone. it disrupts everything. and it is very funny that it only pops up with a data connection. with no connection it never pops up. all this does is run in the background and burn battery power. the app was never there and i took my phone in for repair and when i got it back there was the annoying unremovable app

It's a big ugly screen, and I'm not a sports or news or event fan, so it's pretty useless to me. I have no clue if there's a way to put other info on it, if so, they should make that more clear. But right now I'm just confused about the purpose of this widget, at least it's easy to remove.
