O Código de Ética do Estudante de Medicina contém 45 artigos organizados em seis diferentes eixos, os quais ressaltam atitudes, práticas e princípios morais e éticos. O trabalho de elaboração desse texto teve início há dois anos e foi concluído durante fórum específico, organizado pelo CFM e que contou com a participação de representantes de várias entidades que mantém interface com o tema.
O CEEM funciona como orientação não somente aos alunos, mas também para os professores e responsáveis pelas instituições de ensino, encarregados da formação do profissional. “A formação dos futuros médicos na graduação deve proporcionar aos estudantes o incentivo ao aperfeiçoamento da capacidade de lidar com problemas nos campos da moral e da ética em sinergia com as atividades relacionadas ao ensino e à prática profissional”, afirmou o presidente do CFM e coordenador da Comissão Nacional de Elaboração do Código de Ética do Estudante de Medicina, Carlos Vital.
