O PROGRAMA

O Programa de Pós-graduação em Engenharia de Biossistemas com Área de Concentração em Recursos Naturais e Ambiente tem por objetivo desenvolver pesquisas enfocando seis linhas de pesquisa, a saber: Sistemas Agropecuários, Sistemas Naturais e Gerenciamento Ambiental.

A abordagem de diversos problemas em Engenharia de Biossistemas requer o conhecimento multidisciplinar envolvendo, entre outras, as áreas de Matemática, Física, Biologia, Computação e Meio Ambiente.

A formação, envolvendo esses campos de conhecimento, permitirá o entendimento e a quantificação dos princípios físicos que regem o funcionamento dos sistemas agrícolas e ambientais, o uso racional e a preservação dos recursos hídricos e dos demais recursos energéticos.

Os egressos alcançarão alta qualificação para trabalhar e gerar conhecimentos científicos e tecnológicos no campo dos recursos naturais, condizentes com os ideais de sustentabilidade ambiental. Estarão aptos, atualizados e conscientes para prover o desenvolvimento sustentável por meio de sua participação, seja em projetos, manejo ou gestão de sistemas locais, regionais e globais.
