Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Patronize on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

This App helps black consumers patronize their own community's businesses (which even in it's infancy is a landmark victory). Black economic self sufficiency is exactly what we need to solve many problems. The price for this App is about the cost of a cup of coffee, and as the App gets better, the benefit to you will become exponential. I think it's a brilliant idea...

It's so hard finding black owned businesses and this app makes it quite simple to be anywhere and find exactly what you are looking for!

About this app

Patronize is a locator app that finds black-owned businesses in your area. New businesses are added everyday. When you select a listing, you can see a photo of the business (if available), the address, telephone number and also a brief description or history about the business. You can visit their website (if there is one available) directly from the app. You can call the business directly by tapping on the phone icon. If an email or mobile phone is available you can contact the business by text or email right from the app. Last but not least if you would like to Patronize the business you can click on the map icon and you will be taken to google maps with directions on how to get there.

If you would like you can also create a user account and review places you visit.

PLEASE NOTE: While we try to include all businesses with physical addresses, there are some businesses that do not have an address so a city and state are only listed. It's best to contact them directly via phone, text or email if you would like to do business with them.
