This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing BeLaws on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

Hoe onoverzichtelijk de wetteksten ook zijn, deze app legt ze binnen handbereik. Niet enorm gebruiksvriendelijk.. een share of copy functie zou wel van pas komen, het kleine dialoogvenster is niet ideaal om te lezen. Toch weer een strakke app! Ik volg al sinds MV Experiment de android releases en ik kan alleen maar zeggen: DOE ZO VOORT! Meer functionele apps voor Belgische gebruikers!

Alternatieve zoekmotor voor Belgisch Staatsblad

Het team achter de populaire iRail-treinapplicatie werkt aan een nieuwe applicatie. Met BeLaws is het Belgisch Staatsblad makkelijker te doorzoeken.

BeLaws brengt de Belgische wet naar het web 2.0: zo omschrijft iRail vzw hun nieuwste project dat alweer kadert in het promoten van open data. Via een eenvoudige zoekopdracht op de BeLaws-homepage kun je de database met Belgische wetteksten doorzoeken. De resultaten kun je makkelijk filteren op type (decreet, besluit, wet, …), de regio waarin de wet van toepassing is, en de poltici die de wet tekenden.

Cijferfetisjisten kunnen bovendien hun hartje ophalen aan het gedeelte met statistieken. Die tonen bijvoorbeeld welke politici het vaakst met elkaar samenwerken op basis van de beschikbare data in de database.

BeLaws vertoeft momenteel wel nog in bètafase en moet nog verder uitgewerkt worden. Nog niet alle wetten zijn opgenomen en zoeken is nog niet mogelijk het Frans en het Duits.
