From the 29th of June 2013 till the 30th of September 2014 you can discover the Ostend gastronomy through the eyes of a passionate fisherman. Follow his story and his route. From catch to plate, because every stage of the fish chain is fascinating. The walk takes you along a series of maritime locations such as the fishing vessel, the fish auction, maritime attractions .... And if you want, you can check out the info session ‘The fish auction behind the scenes’ along the way.

Does fresh fish bring water to your mouth? Then we have good news for the gastronomes among you. Flemish fishermen challenge chefs from Ostend every month to use all kinds of seafood from the North Sea in a creative manner. Every month they decide on a ‘fish of the month’. The result? A special fish menu you can enjoy for four weeks.
On certain days the fisherman will even join your table and tell you all about the fascinating life at sea and his daily catch.
