The German language has specific rules when it comes to forming sentences. The basic German sentence order is SVO: subject, verb, object. The verb, which is the main or conjugated part of the sentence, is always the second element. If the subject does not precede the main verb or the conjugated part, it must immediately follow it. Sentence structure must respect the order of time, manner, and place.

In order to form a grammatically correct sentence, you need to practice. That's why you need Satzbau - to practice a large number of sentences from real-world examples.
