About this app

Students studying Vocational Education & Training (or VET) qualifications are required to submit evidence demonstrating industry skills and knowledge they have developed.

Evidence can be collected in various formats, which might include photos, videos, certificates, or signed paperwork - essentially any documentation that demonstrates training within the relevant industry.

Collecting evidence and completing forms can be tricky when your focus should be on what you are learning. Often the paperwork will be put off until it is required, making it difficult to remember key details or digging out evidence days, weeks or even months down the track.

To make it easier for students to navigate this process and encourage timely recording of evidence, the NSW Department of Education has invested in mobile technology and introduced a new way of collecting and submitting this information.

A smartphone app has been created to simplify the process of how you document your developing industry skills and knowledge.

The app allows you to capture and upload evidence on the spot, fill in details of the activity and build a portfolio of industry experiences. Once completed, your evidence is uploaded and made available to your teacher instantly. The app also includes resources and information on relevant topics such as Preparing for Work Placement and potential Career Pathways. There is also an option to provide feedback on your work placement experience. The information provided will help us to improve future Work Placement experiences.

The best bit? It’s all kept in one place on your phone. There’s no need for extensive paperwork, scanned documents or printed photos.

Simply download the app and follow the instructions to get started.
