This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing TALi DETECT on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

The discription of this app is claiming to screen for attention issues without ever mentioning the clinical name for such issues, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder ADHD. Which I find incredibly drceptive and insulting considering I have the contition myself as an adult. Perhaps be honest about what this app is for and not just target children.

About this app

TALi DETECT is a digital screening tool to assess attention skills during early childhood (ages 3-8 years). In a session lasting 20-25 minutes, children play seven gamified exercises to determine their attention capabilities relative to their peers. As a developing skill, attention is key to a child fulfilling their potential to learn and communicate effectively.

Based in Melbourne, Australia, TALi is a company drawing upon 25 years of research in developmental psychology and cognitive neuroscience to develop digital tools to assess and improve attention skills during early childhood.

The development of TALi DETECT was supported by an Australian Government, Cooperative Research Centre Project grant (CRC-P).
