Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing LessonBuzz Literacy K on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

LessonBuzz Literacy K is designed to develop literacy in children from 4 years in a school environment. There are four separate apps: Language, Reading Comprehension, Writing and Spelling. Each app incorporates 30 graduated lessons and tracks progress for up to 5 separate users.

LessonBuzz Literacy K apps should be used in combination to develop literacy through reading, listening, phonics, tactual and language building activities.

LessonBuzz Literacy K uses customised illustrations and audio throughout together with sound effects to prompt answers as well as to recognise success.

Language K includes:
• 30 lessons with activities and games with audio instructions
• Alphabet activities and games that build visual and sound discrimination, capital and lower case letter recognition and alphabetical order knowledge
• Sound discrimination and recognition activities
• Sentence building and word order activities

Reading K includes:
• 30 early reading texts that build sight word and common word knowledge with picture association and audio
• Focus on 60 common words and 21 sight words
• Comprehension with sentences and audio from text using yes/no for answers

Writing K includes:
• 30 lessons with activities and games with audio instructions
• Activities and games that build visual and sound discrimination, capital and lower case letter recognition and word order in sentences
• Sight word activities and games that build whole word recognition
• First, middle and final letter sound activities that build letter/sound correspondence

Spelling K includes:
• 30 lessons of 8 words with audio
• Spelling activities that build visual and sound discrimination using audio
• Spelling activities that reinforce sight, sound and touch in the learning process

All LessonBuzz apps are cohesive having being written by the one teacher who has over 35 years experience. The apps incorporate voice instructions for each lesson and are engaging, easy to use, self-correcting, educational and developmental.
