This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing ADL Film Fest on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. I need to keep logging in each time I open the app. That's going to be insanely annoying when I go from session to session with my pass. Also, when I click to look at my ticket, nothing happens??

About this app

The ADL Film Fest app is intended to sell tickets to and provide information about Adelaide Film Festival events taking place in Adelaide. It contains a full listing of all Adelaide Film Festival sessions, including ticket prices, times, dates, synopses, images and ratings (if applicable).

Sessions are sorted three ways; via date, via title and via type. These sort functions are accessible via the menu screen as "Browse by Date" "Browse by Title" and "Browse by Type" respectively.

Users are also able to see a list of upcoming sessions listed in order of start time via the "Up Next" function.

Users are able to view a full list of available Festival Passes, read Adelaide Film Festival sales terms and conditions, and add Passes to their cart via the "Passes" function.

The "Experience" function is a source of information only. This section will contain information about venues, getting to the Festival, accommodation in Adelaide, Adelaide Film Festival awards and competitions, and disability access within the festival. It will also pop out to the Contact and About pages on our website (adelaidefilmfestival.org) to allow users to connect with us if required.

My Account will include the ability to sign up for an account, reset a password, and sign in to your existing account. Within an account, the user will have access their personal information, purchased tickets and receipts, Passes they have already purchased including how many sessions they have left, their shopping cart, their list of favourites and their calendar.

The "Connect" function will lead users to the Adelaide Film Festival Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages via a pop-out to these apps. It will also include two in-app streams of both Twitter posts and Instagram photos that have been tagged with our hashtag, #adlff.
