Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Atron Synthesizer Unit on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

Simple and a bit sparse, but well implemented. Good for those distinctive vintage synth sounds. Haven't looked at the educational material yet.

Think Dr who and any great sci fi show sound track/ effects and you have it! Great app took me a few minutes to figure out but once I had I was creating sounds similar to some of the great sci fi movies/shows. You can lock in a note in the background while you play around. Top notch!

Great value syth with lots or useful features, even explains what the functions do. So useful for anybody getting into synthesis or for those who want to make some power noises on the go. Looking forward to the sequencer.

About this app

The ATron contains four unique synthesisers each with a distinct sound source and a variety of controls only available on android. All of the synths can be turned into a noise-box, outputting a continuous signal.

The ATron also contains a synthesis 101 resource where users can learn more about synthesis methods and techniques that can be explored in the ATron allowing you to get the most from the application (TEXT IN ENGLISH ONLY). Topics covered are waveforms, additive, subtractive and modulation synthesis, filters and delay.

The four synths found on the ATron are the Pusher, Mod, Twins and Sines. Each contain amplitude and frequency sliders providing control of volume and frequency output of the key values.

The Mod:

• Sound source combines a sine and square wave giving it a richer sound.
• Delay with time and feedback controls to generate unique delays and echoes.
• Frequency oscillation with controllable LFO rate (speed) and intensity (depth) levels.
• Low pass filter with cutoff control.

Pusher:

• Sound source combines two banks of oscillators the first powered by six sine waves the second by six square waves. Each wave is tuned a step higher than the last with amplitude becoming smaller as the frequencies increase giving a richer tone.
• Individual amplitude sliders providing amplitude control for separate banks of sine and square wave oscillators.
• Amplitude ring modulation with controllable rate (speed) and intensity (depth) levels.
• Frequency slider providing control frequency output of the key values.
• Frequency oscillation with controllable LFO rate (speed) and intensity (depth) levels.

Sines:

• Sound source consists of three parallel sine oscillators that are detuned by a full octave giving it a fatter sound.
• Delay and feedback time control with individual amplitude levels to create unique sounds and echoes.
• Frequency oscillation with controllable LFO rate (speed) and intensity (depth) levels.

The Twins:

• Dual sound source, with individual tuning, each powered by combination saw and square waves.
• Delay with time and feedback controls to generate unique delays and echoes.
• Frequency oscillation with controllable LFO rate (speed) and intensity (depth) levels.
• Low pass filter with cutoff control.
