To begin with I was in two minds about installing this . But it's must have if you are a guitar player of any level no ads at all ! simple to use choose any scale set it and it's all there plus you can turn on or off show all key's . Also highlighted root notes you can't go wrong with this app . This app I originally gave 5* but it seems to stick for some reason . I've had to uninstall and reinstall it a few times now so it lost 2*

Loads of scales and modes... Add they sound when tap them. Loving it.

When I first got it, it was great. The last week or two it's taken ages to load, if it loads at all, and even then when you set a scale, the visualise doesn't appear. Would be 5 stars of it worked.

About this app

Visual Scales: Guitar provides a giant library of scales that the user can choose from and view on a fully customizable and playable fret board.

Search for scales by scale name, root note, and/or scale notes. Or play a riff on the fret board and VSG will automatically find the best-fitting scale!

The fully customizable fret board can be 1 to 12 strings and tuned to any tuning imaginable. Create the instrument of your choice!

The scale search interface offers many cues as to the notes that are being searched on and just how much of a match each scale is.

Visual Scales: Guitar makes for a great writers reference. Wrote a riff but can't figure out where to go from there? Riff Filter allows you to play a riff on the fret board and VSG will tell you which scale you played in so you can keep on writing!
