About this app

Background:

In sinusoidal motion there exist relationships between displacement, velocity, acceleration, and frequency such that if any two of these quantities is known then the other two can be calculated. In vibration analysis, sinusoidal motion is one of the most commonly emulated wave-forms and these conversions are performed via hand calculations.

Scope:

VibraCon automates this process by providing an software app that performs the aforementioned conversions. VibraCon has the following salient features:

(1) It has a very user friendly and intuitive GUI.

(2) It uses 2 unit systems:
(a) English: in, in/s, in/s^2 (or g's), Hz, and
(b) Metric: mm/mm/s/mm/s^2 (or g's), and Hz

(3) It is robust and interactive.

(4) It comes with a information screen that explains the software usage, and phase relationships between the parameters.

Limitations:

The values calculated via VibraCon are peak values.

NOTE: Displacement values are from peak-to-peak (i.e. 2 x Amplitude) while the velocity and acceleration values are the Peak magnitudes.

Legal:
