Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Caishen on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. About this app

Caishen (TS'AI SHEN, the Chinese Wealth God) is the first of a series of experimental free apps for elderly based on speech and gesture. In the current version it allows for several useful entertaining services: a) getting stock quotes in real-time; b) generating random (wishfully) "lucky numbers" for lottery, etc.; c) receiving a random English word as a clue for daily meditation or to simply reset the train of thought; d) Hearing random useful thoughts when the device is shaken.
With Caishen, a senior can share with friends and relatives stock quotes, "lucky numbers" and some inspiration for meditation. There is also the possibility of a voice-based conversation by making a direct phone call to any number picked off an existing contact list.
The ultimate goal is to create a vocal app that, while becoming increasingly smarter, can also establish an interactive, speech-based companionship with any aging adult during the long lonely days at home or in a senior living house. Please feel free to make suggestions for new features.
