About this app

The cosine phi , or " power factor " is a characteristic of the load , ie the device connected to the source or AC network .

It is neither more nor less than the cosine of the angle at which the voltage and current are out of phase . While the coils ( Inductive load ) produce a delay of current relative voltage , capacitors ( capacitive loads ) produce an advancement of current relative tension , this will be discussed later.

The reasons why these charges produce these effects are associated with their own laws
devices and ultimately to the energy exchange of the same network or source .
