Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Safe Speed on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Parents. Are you looking for ways to help your child drive and travel safer?

Our original app idea was to create an alert to play when your teen driver exceeded the speed limit. The more research we did, the more we realized that our app would be causing a distraction, just as dangerous as speeding. Part One of our app helps you, the parent, talk to your new driver about speeding and distracted driving. The only app we suggest when you new teen is driving is NO app. They should turn off their phone.

But what if your teen is a passenger in another teen's car? Your child is in a difficult position as a passenger, often penalized for speaking up. While we know we want to raise strong kids who are willing to risk ostracism by speaking up, we were amazed by the research into what social scientists are calling activation phenomenon.

The Safe Speed App activate your child’s ability to speak up in a car where they don’t feel safe. The app gives them control. It allows them to judge if the person is traveling to fast and gives them a speedometer to check. It also helps them use the authority of a parent to let the driver know they need to slow down.

Talk to your child about their power to speak up if they don’t feel safe.
Give them the tools they need to take control and drive safe.
