I love everything about this--except one thing. It needs a flash card mode of some kind. Even if it was as simple as making it so that the numbers don't automatically advance. This app would be perfect if it had the option to control the progress by tapping the screen. For example: number is spoken>tap to reveal the number on the screen>tap again to advance to the next reading.

I love the app, but Comodo Mobile Security calls this malware and says it performs malicious activities. I wonder why it tells me to fix it by uninstalling it?

It would be nice if the app kept a log of the last 100 or so utterance so the user could check if the values one writes down matches what was said. If that capabilility exists, I couldn't find it.

About this app

I am a learner of the Japanese language, and I made this app to help with a problem that I had. While Japanese numbers are very logical and straightforward, understanding them quickly when someone is speaking is another challenge altogether! When you are in the middle of a conversation, the other person isn't going to pause for a few seconds while you do mental gymnastics trying to figure out exactly what number they said!

When you hear a number in your native language, you can visualize what number it is instantly. This app will help you achieve that same proficiency in Japanese, too!

It's a very simple app. It simply reads random numbers, times, and dates out loud to you, and you try to understand them! You can configure the speed of the voice, the length of pauses between numbers, and the types of numbers that will be spoken. You can just practice 0-9, or you can go up to 100 million! You can also practice things the other way around, by looking at a number displayed on the screen and trying to read it aloud before it changes to a new one. I recommend practicing for just a few minutes everyday, and you should see your listening comprehension of Japanese numbers skyrocket in no time!

This app is totally free, contains no advertising, and does not track any personal information. I hope it proves helpful to you!
