الرقية لغةً التعويذ بالله من الشياطين والجان ومختلف الآفات، وهي مشتقة من الفعل رقى يرقي رقية ورقيا، ويقال: استرقى الشخص، أي طلب الرقية. وقد عرَّفها ابن الأثير على أنها العُوذة التي يُرقى بها صاحب الآفة كالحمى والصرع وغير ذلك من الأمراض. وعرَّفها ابن حجر على أنها كلام يُستشفى به من كل عارض. أما اصطلاحا، فيُطْلقها أهل العلم على كل ما يرقى به المسلم من القرآن والدعاء وأسماء الله الحسنى وغيرها طلبا للشفاء من أمراض الجسم وأسقام النفس. والرقية بصفة عامة هي آيات وأدعية يقرأها أهل العلم لعلاج الناس من الآفات بإذن الله تعالى.
مشروعية الرقية الشرعية
اتفق الفقهاء على جواز الرقية شريطة إتيانها بالطريقة الشرعية الخالية من الممارسات الشركية كالسحر والشعوذة ونحوِهما. ويستشهد أهل العلم في هذا الحُكم بالآية الكريمة [ونُنزل من القرآن ما هو شفاء ورحمة للمؤمنين ولا يزيد الظالمين إلا خسارا]. ومن السنّة النبوية الشريفة يستشهدون بما ورد في صحيح مسلم عن عوف بن مالك قال: كنا نرقي في الجاهلية، فقلنا: يارسول الله كيف ترى ذلك؟ فقال:(أعرضوا علي رقاكم، لا بأس بالرقى ما لم يكن فيه شرك). فالرقية جائزة إذا التُزِم فيها بالضوابط الشرعية، وإذا خلَت من الممارسات الشركية.
