About this app

Uma história de doação, suor, lágrimas, amor e, especialmente, muita fé. Corria-se o ano da graça do Senhor de 1988, quando a igreja de São Francisco de Assis, do bairro Pitimbu, Natal/RN era desmembrada da estimada Paróquia de Nossa Senhora da Candelária, do bairro da Candelária, Natal/RN e elevada à condição de Paróquia por Decreto do então Excelentíssimo e Reverendíssimo Arcebispo Metropolitano de Natal Dom Alair Vilar Fernandes de Melo, e tendo como seu primeiro pároco o Reverendíssimo Padre José Zilmar de Andrade.

Com o crescimento exponencial e populacional do bairro Pitimbu a comunidade sentiu a necessidade e o desejo de se construir uma nova igreja, pois as missas eram celebradas na matriz e/ou na Escola Estadual Professor Antônio Pinto de Medeiros. Essa igreja é a que conhecemos, nos dias atuais, como Nossa Senhora dos Impossíveis.
