About this app

O ano 2015 será inesquecível na história da Arquidiocese de Sorocaba. A Paróquia de São José Operário, pela inspiração do Espírito Santo, ganhou mais uma Comunidade. A história, além de emocionante, representa nos seus detalhes, como a intervenção divina se fez presente em uma família, paroquianos e no pároco Wilson Roberto dos Santos.

Tudo começou em Sorocaba. SP, no lar da família Castelhano. Os pais de Sandro, Edna e Antônio Carlos Castelhano conversaram com o filho sobre um desejo de formar uma nova comunidade no Jardim Abaeté, local integrado a paróquia de São José Operário. Desse diálogo da família surgia o nome da Santa Filomena para ser a padroeira da comunidade. As peças iam se encaixando na inspiração, mas faltava uma peça principal. Levar ao pároco a proposta e convencê-lo a criar a nova comunidade. A ideia já tinha sido levada adiante aos demais paroquianos e vizinhos que moravam no Jardim Abaeté e redondezas, e em especial a um casal amigo da família Castelhano, Rosa de Cássia e José Moreira.

Distante alguns milhares de quilômetros do Brasil ( 9.600 km), o padre Wilson Roberto foi visitar em peregrinação a Itália. E foi nesse país, onde se localiza o santuário da cidade Mugnano, dedicado a Santa Filomena que acontecia a inspiração no coração do sacerdote, o que consolidou um sonho em realidade. Impressionado com o lugar e história da santa, padre Wilson pensou: “se eu formar uma nova comunidade vai se chamar Santa Filomena”.
