Buyer beware!!! This app is not currently being updated, it does NOT work with android 11 and there has not been an update for over 2 years. It was working for me on Android 10 but after updating my phone to android 11 the app does not open and crashes immediately. I've sent several feedback/bug reports but it seems the developer has abandoned this app. It's unfortunate since it was working beautifully before the update. Would welcome the developer to update this app so I can change my rating.

The app keeps crashing on my Galaxy Note 10+. I wish I could use it - looks very handy with both synths. Had to refund :(

Great app! A little clunky but does what it says it do. Could never get this to work on PC so this app is a lifesaver. Thanks! Would be great if there was a way to go back through the folders. When I got the back button it closes the app. So every time I want to go to a new folder I have to start at the top folder and work my way through the subfolders again. Other than that it works great. Well worth the cost.

Great app for creating quick backups and drum kits. Unfortunately does not yet take 24 bit wavs or aiffs, but I hope in the future these are added. Also it would be great to have a better browser as it only saw my devices internal memory and I could not access the SD card.

Great for quick backups of my op-z without my computer. I only made a single drum kit so far but that also worked out great. Things that I'm missing: - overwrite warning (could be solved by having the time in the file name by default in addition to the date) - Google drive integration

Hey Metske, love this app. I use the backup feature just about every week and I appreciate the freedom that provides. Any update on whether the accepted file type range will be expanded upon in the future? Thanks for all your work!

About this app

OP-Utility is an Android application designed to accompany Teenage Engineering's OP-1 and OP-Z synthesizers.

The app features a versatile drum kit utility which allows you to create drum kit patches on the go from samples stored on your Android device. (Samples not included).

It also features a backup utility which streams the contents of your OP-1 or OP-Z directly into a zip archive. You can choose what folders you want in each backup (synth, drum, tape and album / bounces, config, projects and sample packs).

Currently only backing up is supported, restore functionality will be available in the future.

Please be aware that this app has been developed independently and has no affiliation with Teenage Engineering.
