About this app

Learn Kannada SmartApp is the world's number 1 Kannada teaching app and has been developed exclusively for those who want to learn the Kannada language on the go. The app comes with a 10 days course to learn basic spoken Kannada and a Flexi course to learn at your own pace. The app also has video tutorials with theory for Grammar. The assistant in the app helps you find translation with an audio message in just a click. The app validates your pronunciation and helps you mark a word learnt.

Detailed Description:

1. What is the app all about?
The app aims at teaching spoken Kannada to non-Kannadigas within just 10 days. The app is smart enough to teach them the pronunciation of each and every word and also test if they are pronouncing it the right way.

2. What does the app contain?
Instant Words Translation - A feature through which a user can speak a word in English and the app speaks back the translation in Kannada. The feature also has a mode to switch to "Kannada to English" where the user can speak a word in Kannada and the app speaks back the English word for the same.

10 days course where a user can learn basic spoken Kannada with an example sentence for each word, everything with audio!

Flexi Course gets divided into "Alphabet", “Words”, “Conversation” "Antonyms" and more.

a. Alphabet - Learn Kannada Alphabet pronunciation and also learn how to write it. The user will have a dedicated screen to practice writing.
b. Words - Learn words in Kannada Categories wise Example: Basics, Numbers, Alphabets, Vegetables, Fruits etc.
c. Conversations - Learn basic conversations required. Example: Conversation with a maid, Conversation with the auto driver etc.
d. Random Magic - Learn Verbs and their tenses with audio messages.
e. Antonyms - Words and their antonyms all with script and voice!*

Quizzes- 300 MCQ questions to test yourself.

Entertainment - Learn with fun, watch handpicked entertainment content on the app itself.

3. When was the app launched?
The beta version app was first launched on Nov 30, 2017, and currently the world's No 1 Kannada teaching app.

4. Who built it and why?
The app has been built by HithAM Creations a team of just us two developers Varun and Rohith. We developed this app with help of one more friend Pooja HN for voice, all are working in Bengaluru, Karnataka. We always wanted to help interested non-Kannadigas learn Kannada and we were searching for a way to help a larger audience. That's when we started developing this app. We are still working on adding new features to the app which should make learning more easier.

Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
