About this app

In this app, students learn basic addition-subtraction, mostly using concepts of place-value.

Level 1 is single digit addition. Students are given a sum like 5+3. They have to the drag five cubes representing 5 and 3 cubes representing 3 to a common area – and count the number of cubes, and write the answer.

Level 2 is place value based addition – where the students do simple addition like +10, +20, +1 +2 using the sticks (tens) and cubes (ones).

Level 3 is place value based subtraction – where the students do simple subtraction like -10, -20, -1, -2 using the sticks (tens) and cubes (ones).

Level 4 mixes up all the activities encountered in Level 1 and Level 2.

Students are aided by the familiar stick-cube (tens and ones) process that they used in our Place Value app. This app can aid self-learning through the HELP button – when pressed, it shows an animation to demonstrate the addition or subtraction process through the use of place-value system.

This learning app is good for classroom usage as well as math practice at home.

You can monitor the progress of your child (or if you are a teacher, you can monitor the progress of your class), using the accuracy and average time taken metric given in the scorecard. The badge system (silver, gold, platinum) provides a quick preview of your child’s progress.

This app is nominally priced. We believe an ad-free experience is imperative for your child to focus without any distraction.
