About this app

GVHSS Payyoli started functioning in Jun 1957. Till then the students depended for their higher education in the school like Vadakara BEM. Koyilandy Board School, and Elathur CMC School. In this circumstance, Thrikkottur Education Society was constituted under the leadership of Kambadi (President), K Gopalakurupp (Vice President), V.V Subrahmanya Ayyar (Secretary), P.C Kunhabdulla (Joint Secretary). GVHSS Payyoli was initiated of this society.

In 1959 the society purchased 5-acre land from Thondippunathil Tharavad in Pallikkara, Now the school owns 12.45 acres which include 5.40 acre acquired by Govt. In 1960 and 1.96 acres in 1969 (R.s82/4A82A c, Payyoli Sub. Registrar Office). When the school became operational in June 1957, the school building shaper "L' had its construction completed. Sri Kumma Menon was the First Head Master and the first student admitted was Smt. Kamalakshi the daughter of K Ambadi in Payyoli.
