About this app

Dalam kitab Negara Kertabumi yang dikutip Sofwan, dkk dalam buku Islamisasi di Jawa, disebutkan bahwa Syekh Siti Jenar lahir di Semenanjung Malaka.

Ia adalah putra Syekh Datuk Saleh, adik sepupu Syekh Datuk Kahfi, seorang penyebar agama Islam terkenal di Jawa Barat.

Dalam buku itu disebutkan bahwa Syekh Siti Jenar memiliki hubungan darah dengan dengan Sunan Ampel dan wali lainnya.

Saat beranjak dewasa, Syekh Siti Jenar pergi ke Persi dan tinggal beberapa lama di Bagdad. Setelah itu, ia pergi ke Gujarat dan kembali lagi ke Malaka.

Ia menikahi seorang wanita dan memiliki beberapa orang anak, antara lain Ki Datuk Bardud dan Ki Datuk Fardun.

Lain cerita dalam kegiatan Borobudur Writer & Cultural Festival 2012, dalam acara tersebut diungkap bahwa Syekh Siti Jenar diduga adalah anak dari Sunan Ampel.

Penulis buku 'Triogi Syekh Siti Djenar', KH Muhammad Sholikhin juga mendukung pendapat itu, Ia menyatakan bahwa Syekh Siti Jenar atau Syekh Lemah Abang adalah anak dari Sunan Ampel.

"Ini berdasarkan kitab Maktab Da’imi. Kitab tersebut berisi dan menjelaskan silsilah habib dan sayidh dan mengungkap fakta bahwa Syekh Siti Jenar masih sedarah dengan seorang wali,” ungkapnya.

Pendapat lainnya mengenai asal usul Syekh Siti Jenar juga bermunculan. Abdul Munir Mulkhan dalam buku 'Syekh SIti Jenar: Pergumulan Islam-Jawa' menyebutkan bahwa Syekh Siti Jenar berasal dari Cirebon, Jawa Barat dengan nama asli Ali Hasan atau Syekh Abdul Jalil.
