Lalitha Sahasranama, is sacred text comprising of 1000 names of Sri Lalithadevi, the divine mother, This sacred hymns were written in Brahmanda Purana as Hayagreeva Agastya Samvaada ( discussion between Hayagreeva and Agashtya) .Hayagreeva, lord of Knowledge, is an incarnation of lord Vishnu, with head of horse. Sage Agastya is one among Saptharishis.

If one chants this during Grahana times, it gives 1000 times more benefits than during normal chanting
