This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing 2D ODE Grapher on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

Best differential equation plotter out there. Takes some getting used to, but its ability to plot virtually any vector field you like and tap to instantly find solutions is incredible. Especially useful for quickly experimenting with the behavior of solutions for a particular DE system. I wish the app had the ability to keep solution curves plotted when you zoom; right now they vanish when you zoom in or out. Otherwise, no complaints! Definitely worth your time.

Hey. How do I make a continuous field lines as in the above sample pictures? If I tap the plot the app closes. And the inputs are parametric, in terms of dy/dt and dx/dt. What if I only have dy/dt? Thanks.

About this app

This app plots 2-dimensional systems of ordinary differential equations as vector fields. It allows you to plot solution curves through a point by tapping the plot. It also finds equilibria, calculates the Jacobian at the equilibrium and determines the type of equilibrium. You can use up to 6 parameters to describe your ODE and the bounds of your plot can depend on these parameters. You can also zoom and pan around the plane with gestures.

The help section in the app contains more detailed information on how to use the app, its limitations, and features that will be coming soon.
