Since the buyout, free movie options have been lacking (the same movies month to month). The promotional sales are really limited without as wide a variety. I remember when they had buys for as low as 0.99 during holidays (not rentals but purchases) and the 4.99 sales had really good buys, not now though. Also, since the buyout, I have not been able to download my own movies on any device I have contacted them several times. Their suggestion of deleting and reinstalling doesn't work.

Vudu app has ALWAYS had issues operating properly for certain people. It generally works for me most of the time. Contacting customer service had always been erratic, but gotten a bit better in recent months. Their knowledge of fixing technical issues you might encounter is CONSIDERABLY lacking. Recent encounter with an odd glitch and all the rep. did was constantly ask some of the same questions which I answered multiple times. Fandango needs to completely overhaul the app now that they own it.

I enjoy Vudu because of its vast library of TV shows and movies. I find watching movies is quite easy, even when I cast to my television using Chromecast. Casting TV shows though, is quite annoying. Even when the option to move to the next episode is on, it does not play. I have to go back into my app, find the next episode and play it. This makes binging TV shows frustrating.

Great app! Vudu allows you to watch the shows and movies that you own digitally, it also allows you to buy, rent and watch movies for free (with ads of course). The UI is simple, works great, I haven't had any performance issues, the video quality is phenomenal. I don't have any complaints with this app, it's provides you with the service you want and it delivers more.

I thought after the buyout things would get better, complete opposite... $4.99 deals no longer include an option to obtain 4k also. There is still no option to play a movie "FROM START" while the selection is made through your movie titles. I rarely purchase from Vudu now and that's saying something. This is the direct fault of whomever is in charge of sales and marketing. Last I checked, if I spend less, you make less, I have almost 800 movies. Guess I'll start using apple or Amazon.

Ah VUDU... I posted about the various issues I've had with this app. Playback issue after playback issue after playback issue. Yes its nice that they have free with ads, deals on sets of movies or TV shows. Thats all fine and dandy. Until you get down to watching the stuff you buy. From Playback issues that occur just by going to another app, answering a phone call, sending a text, etc. Now let's add another issue! "Network Issue during PLAYBACK" all while I'm trying to watch my shows or movies.
