Doesn't work. Downloaded the app, and it wouldn't start without another app called "Adobe Air" which isn't on the Play store, so it's broken.

No longer works because it requires Adobe Air which seems unavailable as of this writing. Used it before and it was excellent, hence two stars.

I like the experimental aspect of this app but it still needs ability to at least save and adjust volume of each sound. The only thing I'm ever concerned with apps like this is how can I use it in my studio production. I want to see it used with Buddha Machine.

Nothing available besides semi-randomized sounds and semi-randomized patterns. The sounds it comes up with are frequently just too harsh and sustained / pitched to be usable in conjunction with the semi-randomized patterns, especially once you start layering more than a couple sounds. And listen, I *love* wild experimental stuff and always have-- but this thing just generates structures that are too rhythmically chaotic for normal-musical use and too darned loud and obnoxious for metrically-amorphous ambient soundscapes. If it just gave up a little more control to the user, it would be a heck of a lot more useful. *Love* the radar-scan paradigm, though.

I'm no godly music type but yeah...me and my pet dog had a jig about the garden whilst tranced by this synth tool. Great. I like that i can randomise things and the colours are cool:-)

I could spend whole day jamming and listening to the odd sounds and rhythms of this great and promising software! Just add more complex rhythms, save/load and volume adjusting per channel. After that I would gladly even pay of this software!

About this app

ERG (verb): the act of casually creating fresh drum sounds and beats using Wag's Euclidean Rhythm Generator.

Within moments of booting up, it's possible to generate an abstract, ambient, or idm loop. The sound mixes perfectly in open air with a Buddha Machine or sx150 synth, for example.

INSTRUCTIONS: (1) hit "add sound" (2) randomize the sound's color and sequence to your liking (3) hit the radar to return to the black screen & add more sounds (4) hit the color blocks to play a sound and return to it's controls for further modification.

BACKGROUND: Sounds are randomized with DrPetter's SFXR ... "an MS Paint for sound effects." Sequences are randomized using Toussaint's concept of generating traditional world music beats via the Euclidean Algorithm, which "reveals a tantalizing pattern."

DONT ERG AND DRIVE, SIP SLOW, PEasE !~
