Bij borg Schildmeer woonde een rover met zijn vrouw.
Op een tragische dag stierf de rover bij het Schildmeer en sinds die dag was de vrouw nooit meer hetzelfde.
Uit verdriet werd zij de ergste rover die het Schildmeer ooit heeft gekend.
Geen enkel schip op het meer was veilig.
Samen met haar bemanning enterde ze de schepen die vastliepen op het meer.
Hierbij gooide ze de mensen van het schip overboord en plunderde ze alles wat ze kon vinden.
Op een dag werd de vrouw in de nacht op straat beschoten en kwam ze te overlijden.
Vanwege haar verdriet kon ze geen rust meer vinden en tot op de dag van vandaag spookt ze nog altijd rond het meer.
Ze gilt en gilt.

Dit is een interactieve vertoning van het oud Gronings volksverhaal “De legende van borg Schildmeer” die productiehuis spinbarg zal vertonen tijdens een tocht met het antieke vrachtschip De Familietrouw.
Dit schip zal door de gehele provincie varen terwijl het verschillende groningse volksverhalen zal vertonen en is toegankelijk voor iedereen.
