This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Shopping List Maker Plus on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. I love the app but have two minor issues with it. First, I have to launch it twice before it opens on my Moto X (KitKat 4.4.2). After the first launch the screen flashes for a second before returning to the desktop. The second issue is when adding in items with the phone in portrait mode. The data entry field screen centers on the phone so that the item description box is off the screen to the left. I scroll over to it to enter in text but as soon as I start the screen re-centers itself and the text box is again off screen to the left. One feature that I'd like to see is clearing of checked off items in a shopping list. Right now the "Clear" function removes the check mark but leaves the items on the list. There are a lot of times when I am able to find only a portion of the items on my list due to some things being out of stock. Being able to clear off the found items would make it a lot easier to maintain a working list for future shopping trips. Update, 2014-06-05: I've upped my rating to 5-stars. The developer has been very responsive to addressing the issues in the app that I've brought to his attention. For me the app has gone from excellent to outstanding.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

Continual item selection with 'READ ON' while using the SELECTION LIST page may cause a lag & crash. If this arises deactivate read to 'READ OFF'.

Quick Select Bar - if phone/tablet is not responsive or sensitive deactivate in settings.

Voice Recognition is Google based & requires internet connectivity.
