The LilyPonds app presents to the viewer a series of LilyPonds that are floating gently upon sine waves that are in sync with the violin music. Each of the Lily Ponds are based on traditional Buddhist mandala designs such as the Vairocana (Illuminator), Hevajra, Samvara, Yamantaka, rDorjeac'an (Holder of the Diamond), and the Mandalas of the Two Worlds (from the Muromachi period). Gazing downward at the LilyPonds as they go by should give a sense of ascending.
