You should give the base points when you complete a challenge, and wait for the extra point (if that is the case). If the people don't accept your challenge, those are points that you can't access to.

Clash of pronunciations is a educational serious game which aim is to improve users' pronunciation. It aims to improve pronunciation of second language with minimal pairs lists.

Compete against your friends and people around the world in leaderboards and and reach achievements while playing.

- Each match consists on the user's turns that compose it.

- In each turn, the dynamic consists of performing a series of exercises to improve your pronunciation:

1. Challenging and accepting challenges from other users, which will make you alter your position in the ranking ("Play" section).

2. Limitlessly training lists of specific words, without altering your position in the ranking ("Training" section).

- Each "Play" match will subtract one daily entry (30 maximum per day, lightning symbol).

- At midnight the number of daily entries will be reset.

- The matchs are based on turns: a player takes turns and when he finishes, he can play the next one.

- Until all the turns of the players of a match are over, they will not add the points of that match to the ranking. At that moment the extra points of each one are calculated, depending on their position in the ranking.

- If a match is canceled by any of the participants, it will not add points (but it will subtract daily entry).

- Once a player's turn has started, if he leaves the match he will be considered as 0 points and the turn finished.

- In case of a tie in the match, those who have tied are considered winners.

- The use of WIFI connection is recommended.

You can also train in different game modes: exposure, discrimination and pronunciation.




Permissions required of Clash of Pronunciations:

1. Internet for voice recognition and for sending game statistics.

2. Writing on the device: to store the results of the games.

3. Access to Google account to get your public image and to associate your game results.


Clash of Pronunciations came from the Final Degree Project in Computer Engineering of Rafael Sillero Navajas at the University of Valladolid.
