About this app

The game is played on an 8×8 grid called a chessboard, consisting of 64 squares that alternate between white and black colors. Each player controls 16 pieces at the start one king, one queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and eight pawns.
The primary objective of chess is to checkmate the opponent’s king. Checkmate occurs when the king is in a position to be captured in check and has no legal moves to escape the threat.
Each player begins with their pieces arranged in two rows. The second row consists of pawns, while the back row from left to right consists of:
Rook Moves in straight lines, either horizontally or vertically.
Knight Moves in an L shape two squares in one direction and then one square perpendicular. It is the only piece that can jump over others.
Bishop Moves diagonally any number of squares.
Queen Moves in any direction horizontally, vertically, or diagonally any number of squares.
King Moves one square in any direction. The king must be protected at all costs, as losing it results in checkmate.
Pawns Move forward one square but capture diagonally. On their first move, they may advance two squares.
How to Play Chess
Opening Phase Players develop their pieces to control the center of the board, protect the king and prepare for battle.
Middlegame Players execute strategic and tactical moves, aiming to gain material advantage, attack the opponent’s pieces, and position themselves for an endgame.
Endgame With fewer pieces left, players attempt to promote pawns into queens and checkmate the opposing king.
Chess Grandmaster is a game of patience, skill, and deep thinking, offering endless possibilities for improvement and mastery.
