This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Star Nomad Elite (Oreo+) on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Great fun mobile version of space trading games like X2 the threat & elite. I've only played it for a few hours, but it's been fairly easy to pick up what to do & how. So far I've enjoyed it. I've made some money trading & upgraded my ship's capabilities. I wouldn't carry too much cargo at first, as it's easy to be destroyed by pirates & you lose it all (not your money or mods though) when you die.

Holy cow, that music is ear-piercing and there's no way to turn it off. Uninstalling.

About the game:

Star Nomad is an arcade top-down 2D sandbox space-adventure-sim. It was created as a tribute to classic spacesims of old. If you are a fan of these games, then you're in for a nostalgic ride!

In Star Nomad, you roam free in the Wildlands Sector while immersed in a sci-fi noir setting rich in humor. While a sandbox, it's also story driven with a personal plot inspired by classic cyberpunk that puts you right in the pilot seat to determine the outcome of an escalating corporate war!

[Additional Notes]
The old build is no longer compatible with modern Android 8+ and new devices, and due to complications I am not able to update it. [Death!]
There is no perma-death, but there is a death penalty, so take care! When your ship blows up, the life-pod will be rescued & towed to a safe location. Insurance will give you a starter ship, and payout to cover most modules, however, the excess can be expensive.

[Factions]
Below the Star Map, there's a dynamic faction standing indicator (green = ally, crosshair = enemy). Your actions will change the way the four major factions treat you.
