The June30, 2021 redesign was a step backward. Despite a few other issues with the app, I played it daily in large part due to the user interface. You could easily see multiple clues, navigate around the clues easily, the keyboard was clean, and you could see you were logged in and your coin totals. The redesign uses the stock device keyboard, but glitches and flashes when displaying letters in the grid. You can only see one clue at a time, and the visual design isn't as attractive.

This new version is awful. I've played diligently for years and now I'm thinking of dropping my daily puzzle altogether. Not only were my stats wiped, but the interface took a terrible step backwards. No keyboard. Moving from clue te clue is horrid now. My times have jumped significantly just due to the app. I honestly can't think of one aspect that is improved. Who oversaw this and thought this was a good idea?

The puzzle format changed and is no longer fun. It has become too different from the old format. It became too difficult to maneuver through the hints and deletes answers. Sad your puzzles used to be fun. Now we are deleting the app.

Updated review as of 07/06/21: They fixed the annoying keyboard issues, updated the GUI, and added a way to start puzzles Beginner or Expert mode. Great job developers!!

New version is horrible, I can't get clues to switch from across to down. Thinking I'm going to delete it and get a different one 😡

Downgrading! I've been playing this free app for a LONG time. Suddenly, today, I logged in and found my "coins" gone, and the words "6 days left in trial," and "playing since July 2021." I never opted for a trial, never wanted a subscription, or altered my status. Is this some kind of gimmick? What will you do next, try to charge me for a subscription without my authorization? Unless you have a good explanation, it will be uninstalled post haste. I have reported this to Google, also.
