About this app

BullVest is a stock market simulator. It is great app built to help young and/or new investors learn more about the stock market and/or practice within them before investing their own hard earned money. It helps build confidence before you are ready to invest your own money into the markets.

This app offers the ability to buy or sell stocks using market orders, stop loss orders, limit orders, and stop limit order. Users are able to conduct research on each stock where they are able to see its daily, monthly and yearly trends. They can also view recent articles and can conduct in-depth analysis of each stock just like if you were to invest your own time and money. Users have the opportunity to add stocks to their watch list and are able to see the transactions they have made, and whether or not they executed, and if so at what price.

To provide a real life experience when dealing with the markets the app includes commissions which range from $0 - $25, the range is the average you would likely pay if you were to find a real broker. Users may choose to start with $1 - $250000 in their portfolio.

All stock market data is from U.S stock exchanges only and is provided from the IEX Trading API, more details at https://iextrading.com/developer/

Users outside of Canada and/or the United States, please be aware that the U.S stock exchanges open at UTC-5:00 between 9:30 am - 4:00 pm Eastern Time.

** Chart data for stocks in the Research Menu are delayed by 15 minutes this is due to the API and is not an issue of coding by the developer. Portfolio Chart data is updated at the end of each market day at roughly 4:00 pm ET, so do not be alarmed if data is not displayed on the charts when this app is first installed and running. **

** When updating the your account's portfolio clicking "save changes" only updates the new commissions value and NOT the account balance; this is to prevent extra or false cash flow into the account. To update your account balance you must click "RESET" and reset your entire account, please be aware of the fact that this deletes all your current investments. **
