About this app

FOMO the Smarteater is a nutrition educational game. It teaches kids to classify food in the right food groups and to learn healthy food choices.
The app starts with a short video about FOMO who meets the 5 food groups family (presented through characters) and learns about the characteristics of each food group so that he becomes a Smarteater. Once the video watched, the play section will be enabled allowing users to starts the games.

HOW TO PLAY

The play section is divided into 3 games:

• 1st game: The Right Catch:

The game starts by having different kind of food from different food groups dropping over FOMO. FOMO has to catch only the food from the food group required at every level to collect a good score. There would be 5 level for every food category. Every level will be unlocked only once the previous level is done successfully
If FOMO catch a food from the wrong food category a message along the way will appear to educate users and help them know to which category the food belongs. Ex: if FOMO catches a chicken while he has to catch dairies, a message such as “Be careful FOMO! chicken belongs to the meat group” will appear.


• 2nd game: Run for Food

FOMO is on a running tract. At each level the background of the running tract differs (soccer, basketball, running tract field…). On these running tract, obstacles will appear and FOMO has to avoid all food not belonging to the required food category on each level. Every time FOMO fails a pop-up message will appear bringing a nutritional information.


• 3rd game: the healthy run

Before the game starts a pre-learning quiz will be available to teach users to make healthy food choices from every food group. Two photo of food will pop-up, and the user has to pick the healthier food. Users will have the result directly then the next question will appear afterwards.
Upon finishing the quiz part, users will be able to move to the game part. In this game, FOMO will be running and jumping, but this time he has to pick only the healthy food from every food category and avoid the unhealthy ones.
Different pop-up messages will appear along the way


• Leaderboard: A leaderboard will be displaying the top 10 players, so there will always be challenge
