I could be wrong, but it seems there's something very shady going on here. I actually purchased the first classicboy app they made a couple years back. Figured they'd fix it up as time went on. Turns out they did that very thing...and then just re-released it as a new app, expecting those that already bought it to pay for it again... I'm just gonna leave this review right here. Hope it helps. 🖖✌

This is a good attempt to compete to Retroarch. Still, it is filled with room for improvements. I came here for the NES and SNES. The NES core works only with "official" games, so no hombrews or romhacks will start. The *.sav files are not universal, so if you wish to import your old saves from other platforms or you wish to use the one created at ClassicBoy in other emulators, it'll mostly fail. The SNES core refuses to work with either kind of rom. I'm in hope that future updates will fix.

A slightly better UI is all this app really offers over Retroarch. I have a decently spec'd phone (Zenfone 5Z), but none of the emulators included here can run at 60fps. Even lower-end games such as Gameboy and NES run anywhere between 40 and 50fps, which just looks very choppy and very bad. Even a potato should be able to run most of these consoles.

Good for most part but having some issues. Game runs fine but I can't save in game using the memory card. It did work but then it stopped. I've been quick saving but it becomes an issue when I complete a game and then can't properly save so just get stuck on the final screen and end up losing a load of progress.

11/18/20 The app was working great on with all emulators. On 11/19 I bought the full version and now PSX games will not load at all. Uninstalling and clearing the cache has not worked. I don't understand how the app stops working after purchasing the full version. Also, I am still waiting to hear from developer. *update 11/20 as of this afternoon the GBC emulator stopped working. Only N64, GBA, and SNES works. Do not waste your money. The free version works better.

Well it can emulate things I've been unable to emulate on android before, and it emulates well. However, for many systems it doesn't seem to map the start button and I cannot get it to map. Prime example (of all things) is the Sega Pico. Can't get a single one to start as they require a button prompt that this Emulator can't do. Would love to know if anyone has a workaround as they're a curiosity
