I don't think some of the reviews are being fair to this game. Before purchase it is made clear that aside from being adapted into ChoiceScript, the content remains unchanged from the original release in 1986. I'm not sure why they are asking for a more modern/progressive take. As for how the stats work, it should be noted that the quiz does have an effect, but prior to that, some stats are randomized from 20 to 80 to simulate random aptitudes. My only issue is that it needs a CS engine update.

It's pretty good, to be honest. I hate all the people asking for LGBT options. This was made in 1980s! Lgbt wasn't accepted back then and wasn't understood properly, they didn't wanna change anything when adapting this very old game, and sure it's a bit repetitive, but it's meant to be played like once or twice. It says what it is in the description, a text game, so don't complain.

Save your money! It's a good game - BUT: 1. The format is a little clunky and you never get to complete everything in each life stage. 2. The questionaire at the beginning does not really affect what happens in the game. This was really dissapointing. 3. The dating/job/shopping tabs are a tad frustrating to use. Fun time waster but totally not worth $5...

Theres nothing to do, and many other apps that do this concept better. Once you play it one time through (about 20 minutes of gameplay) there is not really any more content. Not worth the price, or even half the price. The graphics are also non-existant for a game of this price - its a text scroll game with the same text for everything. It also spends a good portion of that text lecturing you, and will punish you harshly for going off-script. Boring, no experimentation allowed. Skip this one.

I love these types of games, but this one wasn't worth 5 bucks. There's hardly any variation, the choices you make don't really seem to matter, you can only do a limited amount of things. If you want to go to college, forget about dating. There's only a certain amount of choices you can make per age, I guess? It's a time killer like all games, but too repetitive. There are more modern games just like this that are free, with much better options.

I love this game. It's so different from the usual multiple choice games in that it doesnt have any graphics but it's still so entertaining and interesting. My only problem with the game is that I dont like how fast each stage of life goes. Like as I was trying to meet someone to date in my adult life, I did it multiple times trying to find the right person and barely did any other life experiences and it just made me start the next stage of my life. I think you should allow more time to do different things during each stage instead of feeling like I can't do certain things or else itll force me to start the next stage of life. During one of my first attempts at this game, I actually made it into the old age stage without kids, a husband or a college degree because it just went way too fast for me to be able to do any of those things. Hopefully that all made sense but I feel like if they fixed that aspect of the game then it would be perfect (other than maybe adding graphics too, but it's fine either way!)
