Floating checkers above the board ! What kind of bug is this ? All float somewhat displaced ...as if up on glass, but seen from an oblique angle. is this a known bug on lollipop and nougat android versions ?

This app auto updates against my wishes. I want to decide when i update it. This isn't right. UPDATE September 8th, 2020, still auto-updates against my wishes to manually update. Fix it! Third time it still happens!!
