The game has been extremely enjoyable. The pace is perfect. It doesn't bar you from forward progress with the "pay to play" aspect that many other sub-par, money hungry game producers seem to base everything off of. I've loved it, it reminds me of the extremely popular and successful "Total War" series games but just on a bit of a smaller scale. I could do with a bit more in depth on the military leadership but really that's my only critique and that's saying a lot. Love it! Love it! Love it!

Superb gameplay. As a person interested in history especially the French revolution, the Napoleonic wars and the 19th century history in general, this is an awesome game. These events had the biggest impact on European history for over a thousand years. The play is simple yet challenging enough to be fun. They type of military units leadership and the maneuver is enjoyable. You should make more games set throughout the 19th century to the great war 1940-1918

Love the game, some other games like this require you to be on top of your enemy or have tons of resources to build. In Grand war 2 you can shoot from a distance, close it bayonets forward. And build almost non stop to protect your troops and town. Only thing I'd like is a full world map conquest mode where I can play who I want and play as like.

Like all the Joy Studio games it's great, until you reach a level where you are hopelessly out numbered and outmatched and the game expects you to pay hundreds of dollars (not just a few bucks) to just move on. I made it further for free than other games. It is the best game with the most historical match up then their other games. I would have loved it except for that eventual wall. I got a good couple of weeks of play before uninstalling.

A good strategy game with a history lesson, was exactly what I was looking for. I like the game a lot and only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because the game relies heavily on gold and silver and I have lost a ton of gold and silver due to a glitch or problem within the game. The game doesn't always register the purchase, so if u spend 200 gold because u need silver, over half the time u end up with no silver and being out 200 gold, very frustrating, plz fix and ya got 5 ☆s

100's of these exact turn-based games were built in the middle 1990's...all better than this. I played all of them. No enemy in the history of warfare behaves like you see in this game, charging straight in on every turn. They knew this in the 90's and forgot when the tried to duplicate it here. The full versions of those games are all free as of 15 years ago and cost $4.99 when released. These games are coding by one person in less than a month, lol, so if it was good, worth a dollar.
