This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing RPG Companion on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. It's a fairly good tool. However, due to lack of updates here and refining my own personal DM style all the time, I've decided to move on to different resources and focus more on the creative process coming from me and my players, then supplementing that with pop culture and various novels both best sellers and little known fantasy novels. I wish the developer all the best.

Great user submitted content resource for RPG. The Upvote and Downvote system allows users to reward ideas they like and the filters allow you to find popular content. The one thing I dont understand about this app is there is a button to leave comments which would be wonderful to ask questions or make constructive criticism... HOWEVER the option to actual click the comment button or leave a comment seems to be unavailable for reasons I dont know or understand. Please make this functional.

I almost never write reviews. However, I cannot wait to start using this! The developer has done a fantastic job of incorporating so many resources in a very user-friendly app. There is so much good content and inspiration here! Truly a masterpiece for anyone looking to get into running a campaign! Well done!

Really helps and inspire any DM stuck on some kind of aspect. There are homebrewed items so interesting, whole campaigns can be made around it. The amount of plot hooks written by users is astonishing, each better than the last. There's a rating system similar to Reddit, which facilitates to find the most popular hooks/items. And there's even a section in which players write detailed paragraphs on dungeons, in case you need one but can't figure anything out. And the d100 lists are extremely useful for all your DnD needs.

[MUST HAVE] I've tried all the top RPG apps on the play store, and out of them all, this one was the chosen one! The sheer amount of content this app provides is mind boggling, no app I tried so far came even close! From plot hooks, to name generators, to dungeons and unique items... If you are a DM or a player in dire need for inspiration, this is the app to go. The design is pretty straightforward and easy to navigate. Also, the developer is super friendly and responds really fast if you have a problem with the app. 10/10 would recommend.

The goal of this app is to improve your life, as a DnD Dungeon Master, or any RPG DM or GM for that matter. Notable features include:

-Plot Hook Generator - Browse through hundreds of plot hooks to help keep your story interesting. You can even submit your own!

-NPC Generator - Randomly generate a very detailed NPC on the fly; your players will believe that this NPC has a purpose and is significant instead of a throwaway one-off forgettable character.

-Name Generator - With a growing list of races.

-Loot Generator - Configurable to a large variety of encounter types

-Unique Items, Riddles, Puzzles, Dungeons, and Battle Maps submitted and voted on by users.

-A convenient dice roller

-More than 120 "d100" lists - Have you ever needed to come up with a tavern name quickly? How about an interesting potion? Or the contents of a traveler's backpack? These lists contain 100+ different entries to quickly help you fill in the details of your world.

Thanks for all the devoted RPG Companion fans out there. I've been struggling with poor webhosts recently, so there have been several outages. Here's hoping for this new web host.
