Great port of the board game. Smooth and solid feel. Good price. Game on !!! Further, after playing several games, it is smooth, and has easy rules to follow. Tactics are there but you are not overwhelmed with choice. learning curve is steep but easy. DON'T PLAY DRUNK !!!! Ahem.....! Worth the price and look forward to other board game ports. So much easier to set up and put away after a game.

'Castles' is a lovingly crafted port of the board game that I highly recommend. ——PROS: 'Castles' has an interesting premise and the mechanics of it are easy enough to pick-up (play the tutorial first!) but it's not a cake walk. AI opponents are competent. I'm a sucker for a good soundtrack and this game delivers. Nice graphics. Game runs great. ——CONS: Google Play Games integration is broken; no ability to sign into my GPG account and no achievements. I've tried it on two phones. Please fix.

The campaign is surprisingly challenging. The AI less so, but clever enough to make you pay attention. It is true to the original game and I am glad that I got it. Is it too late to ask for an update that includes the expansion, with it's swans and moats and secret doors? 😉 (Edit May 2021:) Hooray, now several expansion rooms are available! Also, the new artwork is a great improvement. I'm seeing a few rooms are still missing though. For example, the ballroom, hedge maze, and propylaeum.

Latest update doesn`t allow human players. No matter how much I try in the options the game always starts as 4 Computers. I even tried replaying the entire training module to get it to work. No Luck..It's a shame, because I really liked this game. THanks the fix worked.

The screen is cut off which hides some vital information. It's still playable but not really worth it. It's been a problem since an update several months ago.

Generally a good adaptation of the game! Updated: Quick response to original review! (+1) Developer contact in the Play store has been updated. Original issue regarding obscuring of 15-cost market slot discount by sleeping room bonus has been sent to the new contact.
