About this app

English draughts or Checkers free also called American checkers or straight checkers, is a form of the strategy board game draughts. It is played on an 8×8 chequered board with 12 pieces per side. The uncrowned pieces can move and capture forward only. Kings move forward or backward, one square at a time in a diagonal direction to an unoccupied square. Kings capture by jumping, forward or backward.

As in all forms of checkers, Checkers free is played versus AI alternating turns on opposite sides of the board. The pieces are white and black. Enemy pieces are captured by jumping over them.

Intuitive touch controls make it easy to play checkers on your phone, just tap a piece and then tap where you want it to go.
