About this app

Kakuro Helper is designed to solve Kakuros by providing permutations of numbers to satisfy the number of cells and target. It also provides an analysis based on possible numbers contained in each cell. It can also be used for Killer Sudokus.

It provides a mechanism to enter the number of cells in a specific row or column of the puzzle and the target sum for that row or column. It then computes the set of numbers which can satisfy that combination.

It is also possible to enter any numbers (existing) you have already solved in the row/column. It will then compute the subset of numbers which satisfy that criteria.

It also allows entry of numbers which are to be excluded from the output.

A separate screen allows combinations of numbers in groups of cells to be analysed. See video for further information. (The latter "comb" screen is probably the more useful tools in solving Kakuro problems).
